Dedicated to the memory of Mark Stonehouse
The NSPCC and Childline hold a massive place in my heart, as they supported me through a lot of my dad being unwell, and as a result of my volunteering with them for the past 6 years, I have grown so much in confidence, resilience and self-belief. I definitely wouldn't be the person I am today without their help, so this is just a small way of giving something back and saying thank you.
Dad was funny, caring, gentle, sensitive, intelligent. Dad loved music (Queen & Jimi Hendrix), he enjoyed sailing, watching X Files & he loved cats.

Thoughts
I woke up this morning thinking about my old college mate Mark. I Googled him, and was so saddened and sorry to see that he has passed away. We were at Naval College together (76-82), I'm in the RNEC Manadon photo standing on Mark's right. I remember him as a gentle and mischievous soul. He was always popular, and I particularly remember his love of his little old Honda racing car.
